𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀/𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?

In my corporate career, I had 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲. Every transaction was full of questions rather than discussions. ❓🤔

I also had 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹. My experience from failed relationships, along with some coaching, helped me build these trustful relationships. 🤝✨

To my surprise, even with bosses who trusted me, their behavior often made me feel otherwise. 😕 These behaviors included:

1️⃣ 𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀
2️⃣ 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
3️⃣ 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

All this impacted my 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. 🧠⚖️

As I matured as a professional, I understood that 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹 situations from different stakeholders. Their decisions balance short- and long-term goals. It may not always appear rational to those below them. ⚖️🌐

💡 The best approach when working with senior leaders is:

1️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 and align with your boss
2️⃣ 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲they are working towards
3️⃣ 𝗕𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and deliver results 🎯
