I was in Mumbai for a meeting. I landed in Dadar and had to travel to Malad. I had a choice to get an Uber or a Fiat Taxi.
I took the local train instead. I was aware it is against the crowd around Noon (people from Mumbai will know what it means).
I used to travel on the Mumbai local train in 2007. As a newly minted MBA, my daily travel took me from Andheri to Churchgate. I did that for a year, five days a week.
Yesterday, I paid only Rs. 120 for the train tickets. A road trip would have easily cost me Rs. 1500. My corporate life took me from Mumbai local to flying in Business Class. I feel humble to be back to the Mumbai locals as such experiences keep us grounded.
